Whistler was designed with a pedestrian village master plan which means that most travelers can enjoy their entire holiday car-free. Of course, where you stay in the pedestrian village will determine how much walking you do. Keep in mind that walking means you will be at the mercy of the weather gods. Also consider that your legs and low back may not feel like doing much walking after skiing 40,000 vertical feet!

Whistler offers plenty of ideally located vacation homes to choose from. The challenge is figuring out which places are ideal for you and your group, based on your personal preferences.

Whistler Village, the Upper Village, and Village North are within walking distance to the lifts and on the municipal bus route. You’ll find a good selection of restaurants, nightlife, and shopping in any one of these Whistler neighborhoods. Whistler Creek offers some ski-in skiout lodging, but is located a short drive from Whistler Village. Nicklaus North is not within walking distance to Whistler Village; however, it is on the bus route and offers greenside lodging for golf season.
